CANIPUR - carotin is a feed supplement containing highly concentrated skin protecting vitamins and pigment formative trace elements.
The harmoniously blended combination of these skin protecting vitamins and trace elements has highly beneficial effects in pigment formation of the skin.
In addition vitamin A and E as well as the provitamin beta-carotene fortify as antioxidants the immune system and protect the dog’s skin from the
effects of harmful and aggressive substances which may lead e.g. to cancer.

General findings of nutritional science
Beta-carotene - is an important phytogenic pigment which is needed by all animals in many ways
(e.g. for the colour of egg yolk, milk as well as for the skin or mucous membranes).
Since the dog like all mammals cannot prepare beta-carotene it needs to be ingested with the feed on a daily basis.
A deficiency in beta-carotene and vitamin A leads to a reduced immune response of the skin and skin becomes squamous and looses its natural colour.
Vitamin A - is part of many important metabolic processes in the organism and plays an integral part in the growth and protection of skin.
Vitamin E - develops its effects as well in the area of the skin cells where it preserves function and health of the skin.
Zinc - is indispensable for smooth functioning, regeneration and healing of skin wounds.
Zinc deficiency results in chapped and scaly skin, skin thickening, hair loss and changes in the hoof horn.
Copper - is needed by the equine organism for various metabolic processes.
It is also indispensable for even and consistent skin pigmentation as well as in the formation of subcutaneous connective tissue.
